Daydreams on the Moon

Waking up on our second day of island hopping in El Nido, the weather looked promising at least compared to yesterday. We had the usual breakfast at the accommodation then left the same hour as yesterday’s tour at 9AM. The itinerary today was called Tour A that mostly consisted of the closer islands, family with young kids usually go with this tour, here we stopped by at the first destination, Seven Commando Beach which was mostly made with normal beach activities and phototaking:

Now the next stop was entirely more exciting as this was called a Secret Lagoon for a reason. Usually on high tide season this would be inaccessible as we’d have to dive under this small cave to access it, I only have it on video but this is me surviving the trip inside:

It was close to lunch time at this point so the next island stop, Shimisu, was where our guide and crew laid out a wooden table and set it by the coast:

We did more video-takes with the drone too, but I did spot a big iguana crawling around here before slithering into an upwards crevice

The last itinerary was more about kayaking in the Big Lagoon, we even had a side quest of going thru this narrow tunnel in the further crevices (as shared in the video). Overall a relaxing recap for the day’s tour:

We got back just a lil after 4PM and since I already had a place in mind to go to in town, we freshened up real quick at our accommodation to catch up to a free shuttle in town to reach this artisans' hub near the local airport:

Kalye Artisano as well as the surrounding property is being developed by a local land tycoon, trying to improve a part of El Nido into a more sophisticated tourist area. Here, shops are a bit pricier but we’ve bought some shirts that were good quality, we also decided to already have dinner at a pasta and wine place here.

Definitely tired but fulfilled after today, and tomorrow we will be preparing for another local flight to the next town of Coron, we’ve got a free day so find out next what I’ve got planned!
