Diving for Barracudas in this Lake in Coron!

Starting our last day of adventure just a liiiittle late with the Coron Island Hopping part of the tour. Schedule indicated 8AM but our group left the port sometime past 9AM so here’s to hoping we get to most of the places in the itinerary, with the first off being Kayangan Lake:

In order to see the said lake, we had to climb at least a hundred steps – mom of course had to opt out of this due to her mobility issues – before being greeted with this clear blue sight!

They had this view deck spot for phototaking too!

Next up was Barracuda Lake (minus the aforementioned fish, which our tour guide said were shy creatures who’d rather stay away from humans sooo…), and while this had a 20-step climb or so, it was more manageable for mom so she got to see and swim about!

Tried diving in this part of the tour but I couldn’t get the part of trying to ‘equalize’ my breath to release the pressure in my ears and it was too bad as this spot had these underwater ridges that I’d see with some videos (maybe another time…):

We next headed for Skeleton Wreck where the remains of a fishing vessel is seen at the bottom, of course my tour guide was lovely enough to have volunteered taking the video. Then after, our group had lunch on the ferry!

Our next stop was a quick kayak around some mangroves surrounding the decidedly miniature patch of sand called CYC Beach, there were sea urchins abound here so we were told to be extra careful where we step:

Then a rather rushed guided tour through the nearby coral garden:

Good thing I had a more relaxed tour of something similar with Paolyn Houseboats and their private speedboat… (ㆁωㆁ)

And the highlight of the tour being Twin Lagoon wherein the two bodies of water are only separated by this low lying cavern which you’d need to kayak around if it was high tide. Fortunately, we could still pass through and it was more like a shortcut back to our docked ferry as this was waaay past 5PM when tours should be considered done (of course we still had time for some iconic phototaking 📸):

Close to sunset, otw back!

Loved the sugar donut snack we were given on the way back definitely something to hunt down in the town’s local bakery and really the day’s activity had me craving for more sugar with this street ice cream just as we docked! (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)

We were pretty much missing some good ‘ol Asian food at this point that didn’t have anything to do with seafood), that’s why dinner was a hearty set at a Japanese restaurant:

And with the day after this just us checking out of our accommodation and flying from Coron’s airport back to a city at least 5-hours from Manila, we took a bus from the airport in Clark, Pampanga. Nothing really to note on that 5th of July when we were mostly out travelling back, we were pretty much out of it at that point when one is nostalgic about their vacation... So until the next adventure!
