Our Evolution, Our Survival: Anime Review on Mr Love: Queen's Choice

Welcome back to Otaku Thursday! If you've come across my past anime reviews, you probably noticed they all had a post-apocalyptic feel to them, but I'm trying to ligthen the mood around here so maybe I'll talk about a recent anime I binged over a couple of weekends ago:

If you've noticed that our female lead here doesn't exactly have a name, well that's 'cuz this particular anime was actually based off from an otome game made of Chinese origins:
I've never really played the game though I think it's free to download on the App Store or Google Play, though honestly I try to stay away from otome games in general 'cuz they can be pretty good at making you spend on some of their special events.

But based on some fandoms I've come across, the anime itself doesn't stray too far from its gameplay counterpart, and I guess the only difference the anime really shows is that the MC doesn't exactly end up with anyone get to 'up the romance' with her 4 love interests as compared to the game.

In comparison to some animes who try to pull off this multiple love interest theme, I found the MC here to be surprisingly tolerable which kinda makes all 4 guys somewhat liking her almost believable... (though her unknowing connection with them from their childhood is also a big deal)

Though this anime is pretty short, each episode really packs as much of the storyline as it can and it really tries to give the guys equal screen time. (but imo, I ship MC with the #birdcop Gavin 😉)
FINAL RATING:
Animation - 4 ⭐
Story Pacing - 4 ⭐
Warnings of Blood / Gore / Death - 1 ⭐ (though I'll be rating 2 ⭐ for the effort of including some slowburn romance)
