Blogging right when I came back from my one month vacation from the Philippines! I only had like 30 days here so I had to make it count by booking a couple of staycations that I've seen online while I was away, so my first weekend back was a trip to the volcanic town of Tagaytay City! Situated along a ridge above Taal Volcano Island, this famous summer spot, which is cooler than the metro, is surrounded by an active volcano called Taal Lake - as you can see from this view we took from our lunch spot at a place called Rosario:

Of course, let's not forget the insteresting local cocktails they had to offer - Purple Rain and Init ng Taal (heat of Taal), respectively - the latter, being mine, had a surprising spicy kick to it:

Alongside the overall, lunch experience here which was absolutely lovely!

But the main itinerary for the day was heading to La VeryOl's Mountain View Garden wherein they offer these curious looking kawa baths that make you lay back and relax in a big pot of fragrant, warm water:

Clients have the option to book a day trip just for their various spa packages or book a room alongside your staycation trip for maximum comfort. They have 4 Verandas, each ranging from couples to a family of four at least, with prices varying if you decide to book on a weekday or weekend. And since it was just me and my mom, we got to stay at Veranda 1 which conveniently had this spacious lawn we can just walk over towards the spa area:

The porch area can be used for drying your swimwear, but they also have these ladder type drying racks!

Overall, an amazing way to get away from the fast metropolitan living just to catch a breather here! ❤️
