You Only Live Your Life Once... Or Do You? - Refind Self: The Personality Test Game
Back with another game that I played when I was feeling down and out of it, this was pretty short (finished it in 1 hour, the first time around) but it helped keep my mind off things momentarily and you pretty much won't get satisfied with only playing it once anyway:
Disclaimer: Only sharing the GIFs and screenshots from my gameplay to form a sense of coherance, but it's pretty much as straightforward as it goes (wish real life was like that...)
We start the game by being shown the 23 different types of personalities that may closely be related to you but only 5 will be taken from them in the results:
We play as a girl robot who is said to be the favorite of the doctor, who we now see has died as we visit their grave. Upon further exploring, we get a sense that we're on an island filled with the doctor's AI creations, almost everything is interactable and this counts towards how your personality will count.
The percentage indicates which majority choice players had chosen
Take note that every action fills your Heart Meter and once it reaches 100%, that's when the game stops. You also have lots of mini-games inside to choose from like this Shrine you get to encounter:
My first route, I interacted with anything and paid coins whenever I can, but further along on the 4 levels of this island, you'll take note that you have to save the coins you earn for future mini games like gambling and playing the arcade games (quite like the claw machine!). Earning is pretty easy too if you play the cafe side quest, it's completely stress-free so don't worry about it being like a time management game!
Remember, every action counts - including giving alms and buying ramen!
Some choices opens other locked sections of the game so it gives incentive that you need to play this at least 3 times to get a sense of every hidden or locked area. Interestingly, this doesn't sway us from the main story of the game and the world these androids have found themselves in:
Also, our character seems to have forgotten their main purpose especially after their beloved creator has passed on, by playing through the game and discovering different parts, we as the players are given these little snippets of memory all throughout. Though if you manage to play all 3 times, you get the ultimate ending!
Personally wasn't surprised by my results since they're pretty accurate to the usual MBTI ones, but this Personality Test Game really adds a sort of RPG feel to it which makes it more fun than just answering questions on how likely or not you're to do a certain action.
I got Leader as my Hidden Personality and Gambler as the Most Distant Personality
But that's not where it ends 'cuz we get to unlock a Bonus game at the end of it all! Just click the tiny PC on the farther right side beside the OG one we started with, this shows 4 different sets of quizzes and you just pick between two choices and which one you think majority will pick. Nothing pretty exciting but I did find this Bonus part out by accident when I clicked the in-game PC a fourth time, so until the next gaming session! Cheers!
