Coffee Time with the Gang? Let's Go to Kapetolyo!

I haven't been much out of the metropolis these couple of years, so the next best thing to do is to find some new and unique places to hang out just around the city, which so happens to have a number of popping cafes!
Kapetolyo is like a local play of words to 'Coffee friend' that can also come from the Spanish word of capitolio, which greatly aligns with where this cafe is located (if you've come across this Hidden Cafe post of mine, they're just a couple of underpasses from each other). The interior also makes the otherwise quaint shop look a lot more spacious than it is because of the glass walls:
The various assortment of pastries are pretty delightful to see too, for a split second there I almost had a hard time deciding what to have alongside for lunchtime. Also don't feel bad with staring at their menu for longer than expected, 'cuz they really put a nice touch of creativity in it:
In the end, I ended up having a little something from the different categories and let me just say that one should expect paying for the ambiance and not general the food per se...?
Looks good buuut...
First, the tomato soup tasted like a not-so-good parody of a premade spaghetti sauce. Second, despite how I liked the cheezy-goodness of my grilled cheese sandwich, the bread was hella grilled to rock solid that I had to forego nibbling on the crusts lest I lose my front nibblers to begin with. Lastly, my coconut ice cream dessert was terribly disappointing just 'cuz I didn't get any sugary-sweetness from it (also the same grievance with the lemonade drink that should just have been called lemon water instead). All in all, a nice trip out to soak in the ambiance, just not the food based on what I've sampled from their array of choices...
